After missing out on the $100 parlay by one game in the first two weeks, I completely botched it in Week 3. But I also learned a valuable lesson along the way: Never trust the Gruden Family with your money. If only we could go back in time and warn the Raiders.
Anyway, I lost last week’s parlay because of (foolish) bets on the Raiders (+9) over the Vikings and the Redskins over the Bears. Neither of those things happened, obviously. In all honesty, I wasn’t very confident in last week’s parlay, but I am pretty excited about this week’s.
Week 3 of the 2020 NFL season went out with a bang. The defending champion Kansas City Chiefs thrashed the Baltimore Ravens 34-20 and asserted their dominance as the best team in the AFC, if not. If Tom Brady can lead the offense to 20 points, the Pats will win comfortably.

Daniel Jones is making his home debut against a Redskins defense that made Mitchell Trubisky look like a Pro Bowler. I’m somewhat worried about a bad Giants defense blowing this one, but Case Keenum is bad and has been in a walking boot this week.
Confidence level: 8/10Falcons (-209) over Titans
This is a “get right” game for the Falcons, who typically play well at home. And this Titans team just made Gardner Minshew and D.J. Chark look like, well, Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. Imagine what the real Matt Ryan and Julio Jones will do to this secondary.
Confidence level: 9/10Colts (-304) over Raiders
The Raiders have been one of the worst teams in football ever since they jumped out to a 10-0 lead on the Chiefs early in Week 2. The Colts look like a playoff team, and they’re at home. This is an easy pick.
Confidence level: 10/10Ravens (-304) over Browns
The Browns offense is broken and Baker Mayfield’s issues with diagnosing complex coverages is a major reason why. Taking on a Ravens defense that is among the best in the league at disguising coverages is not the antidote.
Confidence level: 9/10Vikings (+115) over Bears
Third time’s the charm. This is the third week in a row I’ve picked an upset over the Bears, but this is the first time where the underdog is actually the better team. Mike Zimmer will have a good gameplan for Trubisky, and the Vikings offense will do just enough to pull off the “upset.”

Week 3 brought us a second consecutive 1-2 week as we whiffed on the New York Giants and Denver Broncos in non-competitive losses, but we were spot on in picking a straight-up road win for the Green Bay Packers against the New Orleans Saints. That puts us at 2-7 on the season.

The Dolphins, meanwhile, notched their first win of the season in Week 3, walloping the host Jacksonville Jaguars 31-13 on Thursday Night Football. That gives the home team extra rest against an opponent making one of the league’s longest road trips of the season.
South Beach is no paradise for visiting teams, either, as the Dolphins boast a league-best .636 ATS winning percentage (14-8-2) at home since the start of the 2017 season. Overall, Miami is 11-4 ATS since an infamous 0-4 start a season ago.

Minshew and Co. are on the road, but as mentioned, they’re coming off extra rest while Burrow and the Bengals played a 70-minute slugfest in Week 3, tying the host Philadelphia Eagles 23-23 on the road.

We are seemingly playing with fire here in going against what’s sure to be a fired-up Saints squad off to a 1-2 start and siding with a Detroit bunch which suffered a pair of ugly losses before upending the previously undefeated Arizona Cardinals on the road last week.
Saints QB Drew Brees hasn’t looked like himself this season, and he may be without injured top target WR Michael Thomas for a third straight game.Best Nfl Bets This Weekend
Lions QB Matthew Stafford, meanwhile, got his No. 1 target back a week ago in WR Kenny Golladay, and if the Detroit D can keep Saints super back Alvin Kamara (NFL-leading 438 yards from scrimmage and six touchdowns) from completely running wild, they should be able to keep things close.
Go with the LIONS +4 (-110) and the points as we look for a third straight win in as many weeks picking against the Saints.
